Free Tennis Lessons in Co-op City This Summer
The Coop City Tennis Club, in association with the New York Junior Tennis League and the office of City Councilman Andy King, is once again offering free tennis instruction this summer from 9 am to noon, Monday to Thursday on the Co-op City Tennis Courts directly behind M.S. 181.
Tennis instruction will be offered to all children 5 to 18 years old. Racquets and balls will be provided. Participating children need to wear comfortable athletic wear, preferably shorts and a short sleeve t-shirt and rubber-soled sneakers or tennis shoes.
Special sessions for 5 year olds are offered from 10 am to 11 am each Wednesday and Friday. The program will run through August 25th and registration is onsite and ongoing. A parent or guardian must be present to register a child.
