Co-op City Job Ref #: 16-06, Groundsman (Coop City Buildings and Grounds Department)
Ideal candidate will be responsible for the day to day responsibilities in the landscaping, maintenance of and general upkeep of company grounds and property greens. Responsibilites include basic grounds keeping duties such as planting flowers, trees and shrubs, weeding, fertilizing, mowing, cutting hedges, general lawn and nursery care plus seasonal duties including snow removal.
Job Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Candidate should have a working knowledge of grounds equipment, tools and materials.
Applicant must have the ability to walk for long periods of time, twist, kneel, push, stoop, climb ladders, work in inclement weather as well as lift and carry up to 100 pounds.
Applicant must be available for emergency work
Applicant must be able to read and write in English. Bi-lingual is a plus.
