Co-op City Job Ref #: 16-41, Welder (Coop City Buildings Department)

Coop City Buildings Department is hiring a welder. The pay is $20/hr.
This job is non union and open to all qualified applicants.

Job Description:
Responsible for using hand welding, flame cutting, hand soldering or brazing equipment to weld or join metal components or to fill holes, indentations or seams of fabricated metal products.

Perform other duties as required or assigned.

Job Requirements:
HS Diploma or equivalent.

Certificate of Fitness from the Fire Dept. (welding specific)

1 to 2 years of professional work related experience using equipment, tools and materials.

Applicant must have ability to walk for long periods of time, twist, kneel, push, stoop, work in inclement weather as well as lift and carry up to 100 pounds.

Must be available for emergency work

Bi-lingual is a plus.

Days and Hours:
Full Time

FLSA:
Non-Exempt

Testing Requirements:
Drug Screening Test

Background Check.
