Riverbay Corporation is hiring a temporary Buildings Porter - Buildings Department in Coop City.

Ideal employee will be responsible for the day to day duties, including, numerous cleaning and restoration duties such as washing, sweeping, mopping, waxing, buffing and stripping of VCT and terrazzo floors.

Responsibilities include cleaning all assigned internal and external areas of Coop City residential building and shopping areas. Seasonal duties include leaf raking, snow removal and power washing of assigned areas.

If assigned to community centers, candidate will be responsible for set-up and breakdown of community center rooms for various social functions. This employee will also need to respond to emergencies (floods, etc.) throughout the Co-op City complex, as well as the completion of other assignments from supervisor(s) as necessary.

High School Diploma or equivalent is a plus.

Candidate should have a working knowledge of janitorial equipment, tools and material.

Applicant must have ability to walk for long periods of time, twist, kneel, push, stoop, climb ladders, work in inclement weather as well as lift and carry up to 80 punds.

Applicant must be available for emergency work.

Must be able to read and write in English. Bi-lingual is a plus.
