The Coop City/Riverbay Corporation Buildings Porter job is a Temporary Job Position.

Buildings Porter - Buildings Dept.

Ideal employee will be responsible for day to day cleaning and restoration duties, such as washing, sweeping, mopping, waxing, buffing and stripping of VCT and terrazo floors.

Responsibilities include cleaning all assigned internal and external areas of the residential building and/or shopping centers. Seasonal duties inlcude leaf raking, snow removal and power washing of assigned areas.

If assigned to community centers, employee will be responsible for the set up and breakdown of rooms for various functions.

This employee will also need to respond to emergencies (floods, etc.) throughout the Coop City complex as well as the completion of other assignments from supervisor(s) as necessary.

Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent


• Candidate should have a working knowledge of janitorial equipment, tools and materials.


• Applicant must have the ability to walk for long periods of time, twist, kneel, push, stoop, climb ladders, work in inclement weather as well as lift and carry up to 80 pounds.


• Applicant must be available for emergency work


• Applicant must be able to read and write in English. Bi-lingual is a plus.

• Drug Screening Test


• Background Check
