I know this family from when they used to live in my old neighborhood. She left him due to domestic violence. He used to beat the crap out of her and she saved her money. took the kids and bought herself her apartment where she and the kids were supposed to be safe. We were so happy for her and now to find out that he went through with his threats makes me so sad. I hope the children were not witness to this final act of depravity as they were witness to the abuse beforehand.

1 killed in attempted murder-suicide in Co-op City

THE BRONX - Police are investigating what they say is an attempted murder-suicide in Co-op City.
Police say a 54-year-old man stabbed his wife to death then attempted to stab himself. He is now recovering at Jacobi Medical Center in stable condition under police custody.
The investigation is ongoing.
