Coop City Pay Phone Booth Conversion

According to published reports New York City is going to convert thousands of pay phone booths into free Wi-Fi hotspots. Consumers will be able to get free "super fast" WiFi service, make free calls and even charge their cell phones. Cost to the city? Zero.

These former phone booths will be upgraded to have digital screens for advertisements. Then, over the course of 12 years, these phone booths are projected to generate $1 billion in advertising income for New York City.

Coop City has outdated pay phone booths here and over 50,000 people that live here. So, do you think that Co-op City can cash in if we convert our broken down pay phone booths into Wi-Fi hot spots and sell some digital advertising here? This matter needs to be explored.
