Riverbay Corporation / Coop City management was at odds with the idea of residents swapping their cooperative apartment's in Coop City but recently initiated talks to begin allowing just that.
Recently, Daryl Johnson - Riverbay Board Director said he presented the idea of swapping Co-op City apartments to the attention of the NYS Homes and Community Renewal Agency.
He said "Doing business this way will allow lots of cooperators to transfer to different sections of this community; and lots of cooperators that are stuck in their unwanted apartments will be able to move out and start over again. I would like for the president of HCR to please consider letting our community explore this idea."
