Verizon FiOS is coming to Co-op City. A system is being used, which is quite similar to the Verizon FiOS system already installed in Parkchester. Now is the time to place your order to be amongst the first Co-op City Verizon FiOS customers installed.
Go directly to the Verizon FiOS order page at

Why do you have Verizon FIOS listed when you know full well it's not a viable option. Verizon FIOS is NOT here. You are misleading people. SHAME ON YOU!

CWA (Communication Workers Of America), the union that represents Verizon employees says:
Coop City residents should be asking "Where's My FiOS?"
Section 5.1 of the franchise agreement obligated Verizon to "pass" all residential house-holds in the City with fiber optic cable by June 30, 2014.
FINDINGS: "Verizon is not in compliance with its agreement since it has not truly "passed" all residential households in New York City."
RECOMMENDATIONS: "Verizon must build facilities on every residential block in the city to comply with its households passed obligations."
CHOICE FOR ALL!!
FiOS FOR ALL!!!
If Verizon were doing it's job instead of cutting ours, you might already have FiOS.

as a shareholder why do I not get the option to choose who I get service from. what gives you the right to choose for me and make deals forcing me and the rest of these sharholders to cablevision. cablevision is a monopolity in coop city and its not fare to the shareholders who pay your salaries.

According to my calculation, $19,500,000 was wasted in the last two and a half years and no seems to care.
Almost two and a half years have passed since the Board election when some candidates campaigned to bring Verizon FiOS to Co-op City. Cablevision still has a monopoly on cable television, Verizon is nowhere to be seen and 13,000 families have paid $1,500 more than if the Cablevision bulk deal had gone through. That is a total of $19,500,000 that would have been saved in the last two and a half years if the Cablevision bulk deal had gone through.
In my opinion, these candidates campaigned against the bulk Cablevision deal, promising Verizon FiOS would come in. Well, Verizon is not coming in to Coop City and I, and 13,000 other families, am out $1,500 and another $50 every month.
When will these Riverbay Board directors admit they didn't know what they were talking about or knowingly lied about Verizon coming to Co-op City? When will they take responsibility for costing 13,000 families an extra $50 a month? How do they intend to make up for $19,500,000 already lost and another $650,000 every month? I realize that members of the Board of Directors of Riverbay Corporation get free Optimum cable television, but what about the rest of us?
By the way, the Cablevision deal was not voted down. I believe these directors and candidates convinced enough people not to vote on it so the number of votes did not meet the requirement and perhaps the votes themselves were never counted.
The only one that gained by the Cablevision bulk deal not going through was Cablevision. They will collect an extra $39,000,000 over the five years that they would not have gotten if the Verizon FiOS deal went through.

Allow Verizon to install Towers or receivers around co-op city so that they can deliver mm wave wireless internet to all the residents. Cheaper than Optimum. or there is an alternative called Starry internet. Management should look this up.

Verizon can't provide fios in Co-op City because it's too far from the central office.
If verizon deploy 5G they can then provide tv, phone and internet service to Co-op City with - better than fios - bandwidth.
Verizon 5G tv

We are in 2023 and still Optimum monopolizes the internet and TV services. Co Op city directors keep failing the shareholders.Forcing us to use Optimum is unethical and illegal. Verizon should be available to everyone in NYC.

I've been living in Coop-city for 27yrs and I am sick and tired as to why we can't just get out own internet service? I pay $50 for internet service only and it is not worth the quality of the network. I am a senior and they have no discounts for seniors. Get rid of Optimum. And let us choose who we want to pay for internet service.
