Co-op City Buildings Department is hiring a CDL Driver. The pay is $18.77 per hour.
This job is open to all qualified applicants.
Job Description:
Responsible for the operation of 26,000 LB GVW vehicles in addition to other vehicles that have air brakes, picking up and transporting various sized trash containers throughout the Coop City complex. Also responsible for maintaining logs as it pertains to assigned vehicle maintenance, mileage and physical condition. Pick-up and transport of bulk waste, residential and commercial debris and corporate equipment throughout complex on an as needed basis.
Perform other duties as required or assigned.
Job Requirements:
HS Diploma or equivalent is a plus.
Valid CDL Driver's License (NY, NJ, CT or PA)
1 to 3 years experience in the industry.
Applicant must have ability to walk for long periods of time, twist, kneel, push, stoop, work in inclement weather as well as lift and carry up to 100 pounds.
Must be available for emergency work
Bi-lingual is a plus.
