Coop City Job Ref #: 16-50, Power Plant Helper

This Coop City Power Plant Helper position pays $21.58/hr and is a union job, Local 94 & 94A.

Job Description:
Responsible for the day to day duties of assisting Mechanics, Electricians and Instrument Technicians with electrical, mechanical or instrumentation tasks as they are assigned.

Assist in the maintenance of power plant vehicles and report any vehicle malfunctions.

Assist the plant staff in maintaining the cleanliness of the plant and pump rooms. Must be able to review and observe all safety rules, regulations and instructions.

Perform other duties as required or assigned.

Job Requirements:
HS Diploma or equivalent required.

Degree is a plus.

Valid Driver License (NY, NJ, CT or PA) required at time of appointment.

Must be capable of operating various hand and power tools.

Some experience with the operation of equipment used in a Power Plant is a plus.

Bi-lingual is a plus

Days and Hours:
Flexible schedule
