Coop City Job Ref #: 16-52, Temporary Groundsman (Coop City Grounds Department)
This Coop City Temporary Groundsman position pays $12.00/hr and is a non-union job.
Job Description:
Responsible for the day to day landscaping duties including the maintenance of and general upkeep of Coop City grounds and green spaces.
Responsibilities include basic grounds keeping such as planting flowers, trees and shrubs; weeding, fertilizing, mowing, cutting hedges, general lawn and nursery care.
Seasonal duties include leaf raking and snow removal.
Perform other duties as required or assigned.
Job Requirements:
HS Diploma or equivalent is a plus.
Working knowledge of grounds equipment, tools and material.
Applicant must have ability to walk for long periods of time, twist, kneel, push, stoop, climb ladders, work in inclement weather; as well as lift and carry up to 100 pounds.
Must be available for emergency work
Bi-lingual is a plus
