Coop City Job Ref #: 16-68, Temporary Office Clerk (Coop City Public Safety Department)

This job position pays $12.00/hr - $15.00/hr and is a non-union job.

Job Description:
Responsible for various and diverse office clerical duties that requires knowledge of office systems and procedures.

Some clerical duties may be assigned in accordance with the office procedures of individual establishments and may include a combination of answering telephones, bookkeeping, typing or word processing office machine operation and filing.

Perform other duties as required or assigned.

Job Requirements:

• HS Diploma or equivalent (College degree is a plus).


• Must type a minimum of 40 wpm.


• Must be a good communicator (i.e. written and oral).


• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.


• Good organizational skills and high level of attention to detail.


• Must be proactive and resourceful; skilled at working independently and taking ownership over tasks and responsibilities.


• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Outlook.


• Bi-lingual is a plus

Days and Hours:
Flexible schedule

Testing Requirements:

• Drug Screening Test
