Supervisor, Parking Facilities, Job Reference # 0283.

Candidate will perform several duties in the Co-op City/Riverbay Parking Facilities Department including monitoring employees and ensuring garage coverage; responding to shareholder requests and investigating same; supervising administrative staff; reconciling daily receipts; answering telephones; responding to emergencies; coordinating with Public Safety to check for illegally parked vehicles and witnessing the issuing of Community Complaints; monitoring the garage blacktops for illegally parked vehicles; authorizing towing of illegally parked vehicles; interacting with cooperators via phone and in person regarding their vehicles; liaising with towing company to remove illegally parked cars; monitoring the garage for availability of parking spaces; performing all other duties as assigned by Director.

Must be flexible to work all shifts (days & hours may vary) and have a valid NYS driver's license.

Applicant must possess effective written/oral communication and good customer service skills, must pass standpipe certification test, and be computer literate.

Open to all outside applicants until position filled.

Request for transfer/promotion must be received by the Human Resources department by February 11, 2011.

Employees who are promoted will receive the current union scale for respective union positions, or applicable rate increase for non-union positions.
